Ideas for Better Sleep to Help you Declutter
Sleep is such an important part of your health and well-being. When you get at least 7 - 8 solid hours of sleep you can get more accomplished during the day. It has been proven in studies that many people do not sleep long enough each night or they do not enough deep sleep.
Here are a few evidence-based tips to help you sleep better at night.
1. Make sure to get enough light exposure during the day. Open your windows and let the sun shine in or go for a walk to get some sun or even just the natural light from outside. Sunshine and natural light helps your body's circadian rhythm so your body creates melatonin when it is time to relax and sleep.
2. In the evening try to limit your exposure to blue light from devices or wear blue blocking glasses to help relax your body and to help with the production of melatonin. Another suggestion is to have blue blocking glasses that have a yellow tint that simulate fire. Our brains are wired to relax when seeing fire from our primal days.
3. Some sleep experts recommend having a red night light in your room while you sleep. Also making sure that you do not have any other white or blue lights on during the night.
There are more ways to help you sleep better, like limiting caffeine and alcohol which both can disrupt the quality of your sleep. Let me know how I can help you get better sleep and we can talk about that at part of your decluttering process for your home and health.
